About Me

My photo
The Maple Girl
Thanks to a work colleague I was inspired to start a food and travel blog. For those of you who know me well you know that I love food. Chocolate, caramel, cheese, quinces, lamb, pork, bacon, prawns, oysters and of course salt! You should also know that I am a frequent diner and love to try new restaurants. I am originally from Melbourne, Australia, and I have moved to Hamilton in Canada to live for two years. Given my current work status and extreme difficulty finding any sort of work I have quite a lot of free time, hence the blog. Hamilton is an interesting place, almost every Canadian I have met has said to me “Why Hamilton?” As you can imagine Hamilton has not made the top 10 must see destination list. My experience so far has been that Hamilton is not really much of a foodie place, however, I want to give it a chance, as that is what I am about. So, I am going to embark on a journey through Hamilton and surrounding cities, trying restaurants, cafes, bistros anything that leads me to food! I am hoping to enlighten you with my experiences. I also hope to find places worth visiting so that if you did ever decide to come to Canada you can go along to these place.
